MEMORANDUM FOR THE OFFICE OF THE ELITE
SUBJECT: Current Battle Tactics for The Action Fraction
The following document is for the purposes of defining the battle tactics during War.
Introduction
Here is my first attempt at a strategy/tactic for us all to implement when we are in a 1hr battle during any World Domination Event. Once the event actually starts, this will get updated and changed to find the best overall tactic to:
1 Win each individual battle. We get full points for a win. Only half points for a loss.
2 Score as many points as we need/want to. This is a point for discussion later.
The battle plan is split into 3 sections
1 Declaring War
2 Battle Tactics
3 How we finish
If we all read through the details and report back on the Modern War forum any changes we should have or if we think the idea is good, then we can alter as necessary and use this when Battle Greenland starts.
Here we go!
Declaring War
NOTE

Whoever Declares War, must make the first attack(Most likely will be me). No-one else should do anything straight away. The attacker should post the enemy’s defense stats on the forum wall after the first hit and the outcome of the attack, win/loss. After this, there are 3 possibilities;
1 The enemy DEFENSE LEADER has a far superior ally number and that means it is VERY unlikely that any of us will beat his defense score. What should we do
a There is only him and no matter what we do, we would loose.
No further attacks should be made and all our attack strength should be kept for the next war. (none of us can score enough points to win).
b There are a couple of other players, 1 or 2 of which have very high ally levels like the defense leader

c There are loads of other players in the enemy faction or there are a couple of other players, 1 or 2 of which have very low ally levels, like 5 or 10 ish.
1 If one player is close in terms of beating the opposition, they should use a POWER ATTACK, and try to take down his whole defense in one go.
2 One of us is powerful enough to beat them and should do it.
3 If no-one is close, the 3 LOWEST players should attack to remove the defense leader wall of 100 pts. Even though we cant beat them in a straight fight initially, we can bring down their defense leader with 10 LOSING attacks, then we are free to attack anyone we like with more powerful players to guarantee individual wins.
Please note that I have not accounted for attacking the Command Center or the Fortification they may have. If all of us could make 6 attacks and all 26 of us attacked the fortification, we would score around 6,240. not a bad score, but the minimum defense level for a fortification is 10,000. We would only get the same points from attacking the Command Center. In theory its a tactic that could allow us to beat a small faction that only has a couple of heavy hitters that we cant beat directly. Maybe a point for discussion? but otherwise we wouldn’t do it.
Battle Tactics
Once the defense leader has been dropped, then its open season.
Our average score per battle in Brazil was about 2,200. Have a look at this

As you can see from the table, we would have to have the shittiest performance imaginable for us not to outscore what we did last time. This table assumes that we only have 4 attacks each!
So, lets assume, ONLY 15 players, ONLY scoring 150 pts, with ONLY 4 hits should give us 9,000 pts. That means, 4 days later with at least 28 battles under our belt, that’s a total of, yep, 252,000 pts. (League position of around 1,500-1,800 I think). We scored just over 82,000 in Brazil (that left us in about 2,100th position)
If were optimistic (20 players with 200 pts and 5 attacks each!), thats 560,000 pts. If were really organized and determined, I think we could even top that, although that really would be going some!!! I f we did score this much, I think that could actually bring us into the realms of the thick end of the top 1,000 – maybe even as high as 900 or even 800. Build on what we have achieved so far and we’ve got a shot at the top 500 next time round. That would be incredible.
How We Finish
Thanks to Adam, we now know it takes approx 1hr 45 mins for your attack health level to replenish back to full. We don’t know how much difference the 5% health Regen will have but we can assume that it will take about 5.5 minutes less time to recover – just under 1hr 40 mins. Our aim was to Declare War every other hour.
War Start time (UK). Someone will start a war at these times unless another faction has declared war on us!

Our American fighters can continue the fight after the UK boys have put in a days work. I know for some of us, the day may start earlier and finish later, but for the majority of our members, our intention is to fight from 9am UK time to 9pm UK time. The US will continue the fight from mid afternoon till the evening when all from East to West coast can all put the boot in! As plans go, I think this one will work. There may be changes during or after Greenalnd.
This creates a bit of a dilemma when we head towards the end of each battle. During the last 5 or 10 minutes of battle there will be one of 3 situations;
1 Our enemies our so far ahead of us in points, there is no way we can beat them.
We should do nothing, lose gracefully and let our health bars regenerate ready for the next battle.
2 Our scores are very similar and its too close to call. If we want or need to make any attacks to guarantee our win (remember, loosing means we only get half the points), we need to make them before the last minute starts and make sure of the win.
We should make one hit EACH on the best player we can, to get the most points for the win.
3 We are so far ahead, that the enemy is unable or very unlikely to win.
We should do nothing, win gracefully and let our health bars regenerate ready for the next battle.
For those of you who did not take part in Brazil, once you are past the Defense Leader, each attack on a player is like a normal PvP match. You can win cash, units, blocks etc. as well as the World Domination points for the battle. The points are for the faction as a group. The spoils are for you personally. So, if during the battle you find a player who you can not only beat, but is giving you a truck load of cash, keep hitting them. Make sure when your attacks are over to protect your winnings in your Vault.
There is a lot to think about here. I think what I have put together is easy enough to understand but if it doesn’t make sense, make a comment here and let me know on the forum wall that you have posted a comment and we can see if we can sort it.
I really hope that what we end up with here, will help us win and gain the extra points. I think this very specific process will net us as much as 25,000 pts
Near The End of Battle for Greenland
During the last 5 or 6 hours of Brazil, we did as many battles as we could to get as many points right near the end. It worked okay, but we did use up a bit of gold for replenishing our health levels. I will probably treat myself to some Gold but it is not a requirement for you to do so. I imagine we will do the same for Greenland and see what we can all get to finish up.
At the very end – the last hour.
Do not declare war during the last hour or participate in battle if the enemy declares war on us.
When the timer finishes the end of the event, all battles stop immediately and no score is carried over (as far as I can tell).
Any stats on wins and losses for the faction or our team mates will disappear as soon as the event finishes. If you want to keep a record of how your doing, make a note of it.
I will of course be making a note of it, so that I can sort out the promotions once the event is over.
